"Namaste, I am Ashwini Harish, the founder of Rootz Organics, a trusted brand shop for all your Organic, Local and Sustainable in UAE focused on educating customers to make well informed sustainable choices. Chartered Accountant by qualification or by chance as I always say jokingly😀😀, However, at heart, I am a social entrepreneur with deep passion for leading a sustainable lifestyle and giving back to the communities. Moved to Dubai in 2006 and worked for HSBC for 8 years during which I was blessed with two children, my daughter who is 14 years old and my son who is 11 years old now. When kids were growing up I struggled to find food which had life (‘prana’ as per Ayurveda) in the region. I have always believed ‘Food is Medicine’ and ‘Kitchen is our Clinic’ which led to my quest for quest for genuinely organic healthy food products which has ‘life’ in it with specific focus on sourcing it from people who are ‘purpose driven’ and not simply commercially driven. Had zero experience or connections in the FMCG industry when I started off. But that did not stop me from following my heart and I founded Rootz Organics.
